Life's Journey

I believe God gives us what we need and was very grateful to find your website. The Words of Encouragement have been such a comfort to me.

Our journey began on November 21st when we went to church, were supposed to be going shopping preparing for Thanksgiving and after church my husband, Bill said please take me to the hospital. By noon he was diagnosed with carcinomatosis and malignant ascites. They began to look for the main cause which ended up being a diagnosis of Stage IV pancreatic cancer with a 6 to 8 month life expectancy. Bill started chemo and his tumor marker number has dropped and that is a good thing. However, he is very tired and sleeps most of the day. He has lost over 48 lbs. and my heart aches as I look at him. I am grateful I still have him with me but have days when I feel he is slowly slipping away. Thank you for this wonderful site and to all those on the journey may God bless you and give you peace.

Praying for Hope
by: Jane

Dear Karen,

Know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers. This pancreatic cancer diagnosis is so very, very difficult. I know that the journey you are on feels like a nightmare... please know that you aren't alone. We're praying for miracles every day. There is a cure. We are fighting to find it right alongside you and your husband. Hang on to that Hope. And that Love. Celebrate the gifts, cherish the moments, make time count...

Sending Hugs across the miles. In Grace Always, Jane
