Long journey

by Belinda
(Riverside, ca)

I had the Whipple procedure done in December 2010 and this is the first year where I'm just not feeling well. And starting to wonder how long a Whipple survivor usually lives.

There is not much information out there.

I'm almost 6 years cancer free. I do not take Creon and done very well with probiotics. Id love to know how long others have gone, I was blessed to not have chemotherapy before or after my surgery. I turned 59 and this last year hasn't been good with a compromised immune system.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Questions from a Whipple Survivor
by: Jane

Dear Belinda,

Thanks so much for your note. Lifting you up in prayer and asking specifically for wisdom and peace over your health.

I'm also opening up the floor for you... asking for advice and counsel from any Whipple surgery patients out there...

What has your experience been like? What words of encouragement can you offer Belinda?

If nothing else, we want to be there for each other during times of victory and times of struggle, for we're all just really walking each other home.

Praying the Journey is filled with Grace and Love.

Always, Jane
