My Whipple experience

by Marianne
(Phoenix)

On March 28th i had a Whipple due to NET's they found on my lymph nodes on my pancreas. The surgery was traumatic for me. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital. The doctors say i am doing well, however I am not healed all the way. I find myself crying frequently. Has anyone else experienced this? I am 64 years old. Before the surgery i was very active. I worked out, hiked and did backpacking.

Lifting You Up
by: Jane

Dear Marianne,

Prayers and Hugs coming your way... the Whipple surgery is one of the most difficult. Give yourself time to rest and heal. You have indeed been thru a traumatic experience.

Getting back to doing the things you love will come in time. And please, talk with your doctors and medical team... sometimes surgery brings on bouts of depression, it is so very normal... Lifting you up this day... Prayers for strength and hope and joy to come back to you in abundance.

In Grace, Always,
Jane
