Whipple Surgery With Margins

My husband is recovering from Whipple surgery for a tumor that had encased the main vessel and will start chemo and radiation as soon as his incision heals to remove the remainder of the tumor that was too close to surgically remove. The surgeon left markers for the laser knife radiation.

He was classified as Stage IV. The tumor did block parts of his intestines but has not spread to lymph nodes or liver.
